2025 Cohort
Announced January 6, 2025:
55 Entrepreneurs from Region Selected to Fill 2025 Small Business Cohort
126 applications were submitted to the Eastern Michigan Small Business network from entrepreneurs in Shiawassee, Lapeer, Tuscola, Huron, Sanilac and St. Clair Counties interested in becoming part of the 2025 Region 6 Small Business Cohort. Each participant in the 2025 Cohort program will be receiving coaching, mentoring and up to $7,000 in crucial support services to help their small businesses flourish and grow.
The Eastern Michigan Small Business Network is a partnership of organizations committed to serving the needs of startups and small businesses in Michigan's central eastern region. The primary goal of the Network is to accelerate the entrepreneurial pathway to success.
“We are excited to repeat the success of the 2024 Small Business Hub’s Cohort program, and to be able to expand its support to an additional fourteen small businesses in 2025. Once again, a committee reviewed all applications and selected the second set of entrepreneurs that will benefit from the Eastern Michigan Small Business Network program. Selected entrepreneurs were required to commit to mandatory training classes, setting and working toward achieving milestones defined in their workplan and submitting all required metrics reporting to track growth and progress through 2026,” said Dan Casey, CEO of the Economic Development Alliance and Administrator of the Eastern Michigan Small Business Hub grant.
Applications for the 2025 Cohort are now closed. A complete listing of 2025 Cohort Awardees can be viewed here.
